Only 8 - 12 minutes to splice a conveyor belt

It delivers reproducible quality, operates on most common voltages and has it’s pressure adjustable up to 2 bar (28psi).The width of the heated surface is 130mm and the average time to splice one conveyor belt is 8 (thin PU belt) to 12 (2 ply PVC belt) minutes (including heating up and cooling down). This all in one unit is easy to handle, it has a compact design, a low mass (because of choice of material) and an easy closing. It has 2 on board controllers: 1 for temperature settings and 1 for the integrated compressor.

Integrated air cooling

AERO splice presses have integrated air cooling which cools down the press very fast, enabling repetitive splicing of conveyor belts. With most other splice presses glass fiber reinforced sheets or stainless steel sheets are used to prevent the hot splice plates to sink into the molten conveyor belt material. Disadvantage of this method is that there is no pressure on those sheets, next to the splice press. They "steal" pressure from the splice press at the edges and they deflect, because they are not supported. Result is splices, thinner than the initial conveyor belt material with bumps next to the splice, where the molten belt material is pressed to.

Splices are more accurate and more flat

AERO splice presses have a heated zone in the middle and cold zones at the sides. Pressure is applied on the total area. Therefore splices are more accurate and more flat. There is less shrinkage of fingers and less shiny lines next to the splice. No glass fiber sheets are required any more. Pressure is more effective and may be set to a lower value than usual in most comparable cases.

Flight case included with the splice press

The AERO splice press is supplied with a flight case, which can be used for transport to on site jobs. The flight case incorporates a space for storing cables etc. It is provided with wheels, for easier transport from the van to the splice location.
